Is the Super Affiliate Handbook,
Just A Lot of Hype?

The Super Affiliate Handbook

All over the internet you’ll come across recommendations for the Super Affiliate Handbook as the book for affiliate marketers to read. Is it just a lot of hype by fellow marketers or is there really some "meat" to digest?

As I reviewed the much acclaimed Super Affiliate Handbook, the hands on examples Rosalind used from her own affiliate sites was a refreshing welcome. My confidence in Rosalind gained some momentum.

Who would benefit?

Although the book is targeted at entry level affiliate marketers, anyone who wishes to earn more with affiliate commissions than they do now, would benefit from Rosalind’s knowledge. If you are thinking to start a successful business online or are not yet familiar with the basics (and a bit more), you’ll definitely find some pearls in her book to put to "income generating" use. (If you've been online for a few months and had not yet made a cent, get Rosalind’s book. It'll put you on fast forward.)

Topics Covered

The Super Affiliate Handbook covers topics from how affiliate marketing works to how to identify a super duper affiliate program and how to market your website. Rosalind takes you from the start on a step by step guide (or rather "follow my example" method) to build your website or blog to the actual management of your business.

Troubleshooting

The last chapter covers the "Troubleshooting" where she gives advice how to handle problems, but more importantly, how to avoid it. (That’s why I love to learn from fellow marketers, saves time to "figure it out". Most of all it saves the pain of dealing with potholes which could have been prevented. Much better to have fun with family and friends. )

Site Evaluation

She explains how to track and evaluate your site's performance, using examples of her own spreadsheets. This is probably the most important factor of being successful in business.

How do you know what percentage of visitors to your site become customers? How would you know what works if you don't keep track of both your success strategies and more importantly the "failures"? (My advice would be to ditch the "failures" and replicate the successes.) My recommendation is to set these spreadsheets up right from the start. Once you’re on the go, you need to focus on building your business and increasing your income.

Trends

She refers to trends and where to find trend information. (Very important to keep up to date with the latest trends to avoid wasted efforts and throwing your hard earned money after out of date methods and markets.) She also mentions the "Evergreen" niche markets that'll always be in demand.

The Super Affiliate Handbook is written in a very relaxed style with added humor. When she discussed "Evergreen" markets, I couldn't help to burst out with laughter when she said "but NOT tarantulas, NEVER tarantulas". (Maybe Rosalind is not too fond of tarantulas? :)).

How to do product reviews

How to write product reviews, (something we all battle with when we start) are covered, with typical examples, in the Super Affiliate Handbook. I just wish Rosalind elaborated more on the actual writing part. (i.e. the so-called copywriting part).

Rosalind also shares a lot of information on the "mistakes" she made in her early days. Mistakes we all can do without. She uses her mistakes as examples and gives advice how to either overcome or prevent them completely.

Overall, I believe the Super Affiliate Handbook is excellent value for money. The spreadsheets and information on the niches are well worth buying the book. Her knowledge on all the potholes are not only a time saver, but you'll be able to avoid some major and costly mistakes.
